Course Aim:  This course on Manual Handling focuses on the practical skills required for safe manual handling for operation within a restricted area of movement found within a remote Wind Turbine Generator environment.

Learning Outcome

to demonstrate understanding of the importance of carrying out work duties in a safe and sound manner in accordance with the legislative requirements,

to identify aspects of their job tasks that could increase a worker’s risk of developing muscular/skeletal injuries,

to demonstrate understanding of the safe practice of Manual Handing, including the correct handling of equipment,

to identify signs and symptoms of injuries related to poor Manual Handling techniques and have knowledge of reporting methods,

to demonstrate a problem-solving approach to Manual Handling in a wind turbine environment,

to demonstrate Manual Handling risk reduction techniques.

Course duration: This is a half-day course for experienced trainers with an existing training qualification.

Additional Information

Certified PPE is required for this course.

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for any person entering a Wind Turbine Generator as part of their day-to-day work. This course has the minimum basic skills that will enable them to work in a safe manner in Wind Turbine Generators.

Certification & Assessment

Delegates who successfully complete the course will receive a Working at Height Limited Certificate in Wind Turbine Generator Manual Handling.
