Learning Outcome

to demonstrate understanding of the importance of carrying out work duties in a safe and sound manner in accordance with the legislative requirements,

to identify aspects of their job tasks that could increase a worker’s risk of developing muscular/skeletal injuries,

to demonstrate understanding of the safe practice of Manual Handing, including the correct handling of equipment,

to identify signs and symptoms of injuries related to poor Manual Handling techniques and have knowledge of reporting methods,

to demonstrate a problem-solving approach to Manual Handling in a workplace environment,

Manual Handling Risk Assessment.

Hazard Identification (Risk of Injury’s).

Ergonomics if work environment.

Learning training in T.I.L.E. (Task, Individual, Load, Environment).

Review of practical’s; Lifting, Lowering, Pushing, Pulling & Moving of a Load.

Principles of safe Manual Handling.

Manual Handling Solving with your tools.

Manual Handling Solving at your work vehicle.

Manual Handling solving in a restricted enviroment.

Manual Handling at the industrail stores.

Course duration: This is a half-day course for experienced trainers with an existing training qualification.

Additional Information

Certified PPE is required for this course.

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for any person working in an Office to an Industrail Warehouse who is exposed to any type manual handling as part of their day-to-day work. this can range from Carrying reams of Paper to Industrail Motors for example.  This course has the minimum basic skills that will enable them to work in a safe manner in any workplace. All courses can be modidied to include a specific workplace requirement.

Certification & Assessment

Delegates who successfully complete the course will receive a Working at Height Limited Certificate in Manual Handling.
