Petzl RECALL OF PETZL NEWTON HARNESSES – EUROPEAN VERSIONS
RECALL OF PETZL NEWTON HARNESSES – EUROPEAN VERSIONS
Regarding our current recall of European versions of NEWTON, NEWTON FAST and NEWTON EASYFIT harnesses, we have received harnesses with buckles that were found to be non-compliant. This non-conformity presents an immediate risk of a fatal fall for the user. So we ask you once again to familiarize yourself with the recall below, and to take the necessary actions as soon as possible, if you have not already done so.
Dear customer,
Petzl is recalling certain harnesses in the NEWTON European Version range manufactured in 2022.
Petzl is recalling these harnesses due to a non-conforming batch of FAST LT buckles that could lead to a fatal fall. Only certain harnesses from the NEWTON European Version range, manufactured in 2022, are affected by this recall.
Stop all use and sale of NEWTON European Version harnesses and read the Safety Alert below to determine whether you have a harness that is affected by this recall.
RECALL
If you know of people in your network who own or use a harness from the NEWTON European Version range, please share this recall information with them.
We apologize for the inconvenience and remain at your disposal for any further information.
Best regards,
Petzl Customer Service
