Fire Safety & Warden Instructor course aim:
Our Fire Safety Instructor course will provide the successful candidate with the necessary skills, knowledge and resources to competently deliver Fire Warden (Marshal), Fire Safety and Fire Extinguisher Training.
This Fire Safety & Warden (Marshal) Instructor training course is a 2 Day public programme, designed for participants who want to become a Fire Warden Instructor. The course enables participants to meet the training requirements of both the “1981 Fire Services Act” and “Regulation 9 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005″.
This course can also be delivered in accordance with the following applicaple laws by Request:
- European Union Directive & EU-OSHA – Main Land EU
- Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 – United Kingdom
- Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) – United States of America
- Canadian Center for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) – Canada
- Safe Work Australia ACT 2008 and any regulations and orders under the act – Australia

Learning Objectives
- Duties as fire wardens
- To understand the chemistry of fire
- To identify basic fire hazards in the workplace
- To carry out emergency evacuation drills
- To assist in the management of emergency evacuations
- To understand the different evacuation models
- Select and use the appropriate firefighting equipment to deal with an undeveloped fire.
Candidate Requirements:
Those attending this Fire Safety & Warden (Marshal) Instructor training should haveQQI Level 6 Training Delivery & Evaluation or Manual Handling Instructor course QQI Level 6 training qualification or another Instructor qualification. Proof of same will be required. Those Attending should also have a good command of English both oral and written. This course can be delevered in other languages by request only.

Duration: This is a Two-day course for experienced trainers with an existing training qualification.

Certification and Accreditation: On successful completion of this Working at Heights Instructor course, candidates will receive a Working at Height Instructor Certificate valid for 3 years.
Assessment Method
- 20 Multiple Choice Questions
- Practical Assessment – Demonstration of correct use and Knowledge of; fire equipemt, Fire Safety Procedures.
- Devlopment of Evacuation Procedures and Process.
Resource Material: Candidates who successfully complete all practical and theory assessments will be provided with all material required to deliver Working at Heights Instruction. Material will include PowerPoint, Course Notes, Health & Safety Legislation in relation to Fire Safety & Warden (Marshal) Certification & Trainee Assessment Sheets.
Each delegate will receive a comprehensive resource pack including PowerPoints, Test Paperwork, Videos, Legislative Guidance, Fire Risk Assessment Forms and other useful documents to allow them to deliver their own Fire Safety, Fire Warden & Fire Extinguisher Training.
Post Training Support: We will provide post training support and advice to any or all candidate who may require it.
