Course Overview
This course provides the delegate with legislation Knowledge & HSA, HSE, Industry Best Practice & Guidance involving activities on large wide base and 40+ meter structures specific to Power Generation Towers (Pylons). This training course provides, through theory and practical exercises, the skills needed for proficiency in safe, work at height and a rescue within the industrial pylon tower environment for large base structures and 40+ meter towers. It is recommended for persons who work at height on, towers and who are in positions of responsibility and need to manage safety and respond to emergencies at height, or are required to coordinate and/or implement written company Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Rescue procedures. Understand the hazards associated to on-site ergonomics operations both on the ground and working on the tower. This training also focuses on providing the competent person with a depth of knowledge of the compliance requirements for implementing fall protection and rescue systems on the work site. Competent climbers will also gain a strong foundation in climbing and rescue procedures and communication protocol of accepted industrial rescue practices. This course will also go through workplace awareness ergonomics covering both ground operations and at height operations focusing on prevention of personal injuries. Hand signal communication protocol of accepted lifting and lowering of equipment on towers.

Practical’s
Scenario Based Training: The exercises presented in this course are a combination of classroom discussion and demonstration scenarios, major equipment application scenarios done in controlled surroundings, and skill application scenarios performed at height within pole top environments.
Transfer and Progression to Further
Following successful completion, you will receive a Working at Height Limited Certificate of Competence in Pylon Access & Rescue Operator. You may use this award to move on to Pylon Access and Rescue Advanced Level 2.
