Cardiac First Responder (CFR) this half day fully certified course is the first rung on the ladder of pre-hospital emergency care. Recognised by the Pre-hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) it teaches all the basic life support skills for victims of stroke; cardiac arrest; heart attack; choking as well as the relevant legal issues and the administration of aspirin.

This course is a pre-requisite for Emergency First Response (EFR) courses, It is also a great standalone course for those working in or near premises considering installing an automated external defibrillator (AED) on-site as well as those who already have one.

This course contains vital skills required at all the grades of pre-hospital care.

The course includes:  

– Cardiac Emergencies.

– Aspirin Administration.

– Defibrillator (AED).

– Scene management.

– Respiration & Airway obstruction.

– Infant / Child / Adult C.P.R. -Basic life support.

 

Prerequisites:

There are no prerequisites required to commence the CFR Community course.

Course Duration: 4 Hour Course.

Certification and Accreditation: On successful completion of this course delegates will receive a 2 Year Certification of Competence, Recognised by PHECC.

Assessment Method: Assessment will be conducted as per the PHECC assessment criteria.
