If you use ladders and stepladders, this course is for you! You’ll learn when it’s right to use a ladder (and when it’s not), and how to use, store and handle them safely.

Course Outline

  • To increase delegates confidence with ladders & Step Ladders
  • To ensure delegates gain an understanding of the advantages and limitations of types of ladders
  • To make delegates aware of the safe working practices with ladders
  • To understand the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and how to comply.

• Pre-Use Checks

• Storage, Transportation & Maintenance

This Course is only delivered by a competent and certified;

Working at Height Group Training Courses

All Working at Height Group training exercises are implemented under a “Knowledge, Skills and Attitude Based Evolution Process” which the delegate experiences as a layering approach.

All training can be conducted in accordance with the following Legislations;

(IE) Ireland – Safety, Health & Welfare Act 2005

(IE) Ireland – HSA Guidance on the Using Ladders Safely

(EU) Europe – EU Directive 90/269/EEC

(USA) United States of America – OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1053 Ladders,  29 CFR 1910.23 Ladders

Note:

Students must be medically and physically fit to do Climbing.

All training programs are structured upon a pass or fail determination criteria and are in accordance with Working at Height Limited’s Training Criteria for accepted practices in safety, health, and environmental training  and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
