Module 1 – Train the Trainer for Working at Heights

  • Fall Arrest Vs. Fall Restraint Systems
  • Selecting, Fitting & Using Equipment
  • Equipment Care, Inspection & Records (GA Forms)
  • Height Emergencies & Suspension Syndrome
  • Rescue Plans
  • Ladder Safety
  • Roof Top Safety
  • Scaffold Safety
  • Practical Demonstration of working at height systems

Module 2 – Equipment Inspector

  • Regulation 119: Inspection of work equipment
  • Harness Systems & the Correct Inspection Procedures
  • Restraint Systems & the Correct Inspection Procedures
  • Fall Arrest Systems & the Correct Inspection Procedures
  • Fiber Damage, Contamination, Wear & Tear

Candidate Requirements:

Delegate Course Prerequisite: QQI Level 6 Qualification or equivalent,

A good understanding of both oral and written English. We highly recommend Candidates have or complete a QQI Level 6 Training Qualification such as Training Delivery and Evaluation or Manual Handling instructor, especially if they intend delivering instruction or training on a commercial basis.

Duration: This is a one-day course for experienced trainers with an existing training qualification.

The cost of this Pole Top Rescue course is € 400, ₤ 343 or $434 PP

Certification and Accreditation: On successful completion of this Working at Heights Instructor course, candidates will receive a Working at Height Instructor Certificate valid for 3 years.

Assessment Method

  1. 20 Multiple Choice Questions
  2. Practical Assessment – PFPE Fitting and PFPE Inspection
  3. Ladder Inspection

Resource Material: Candidates who successfully complete all practical and theory assessments will be provided with all material required to deliver Working at Heights Instruction. Material will include PowerPoint, Course Notes, Health & Safety Legislation in relation to Working at Heights and WAH Equipment Certification & Trainee Assessment Sheets.
